Why it matters

Technology should be an advantage, not a liability.

Every business decision made today runs on top of some piece of technology — a website that has to stay up, a server that has to stay patched, a pipeline that has to keep deploying. When that foundation is solid, it disappears into the background and lets the business move fast.

When it isn't, it becomes the thing that quietly limits growth: slow releases, security gaps, systems nobody fully understands anymore. Closing that gap — between what a business needs and what its technology can actually do — is the work.
